Fact: The Lokpal has its own 'Inquiry Wing' and 'Prosecution Wing' to ensure independence from the police.
- Filing a Complaint: Any person can file a complaint against a public servant for corruption.
- Lokayukta: Every state has a Lokayukta to handle corruption at the state and district levels.
- Time-Bound: The Lokpal must complete the preliminary inquiry within 90 days.

A centralized portal where the Prime Minister's Office monitors your complaints.
Tip: Use CPGRAMS for 'Stuck' files. It often works faster than visiting the government office in person.
- 30-Day Rule: Most grievances must be resolved within 30 days of filing.
- Appeal: If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you can file an appeal to the next senior officer.

- Identity Protection: The law mandates that the identity of the complainant must be kept secret.
- No Victimization: If you are a government employee exposing a scam, you cannot be dismissed or harassed for it.
