Fact: The MSP is recommended by the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) based on production costs (A2+FL).
- Minimum Support Price (MSP): The price at which the government promises to buy 23 crops to protect farmers from market crashes.
- PM-KISAN: A direct benefit transfer of Rs 6,000 per year for all land-holding farmer families.
- Fair Price: Right to get a fair price in APMC Mandis based on the quality of the produce.

Land Record Rights

Your land is your identity. Keep its records error-free.
Tip: Always check your land records at least once a year to ensure no unauthorized changes have been made.
- Record Correction: If your name or land size is wrong in the '7/12 extract' or 'Jamabandi', you can file a correction petition with the Tehsildar.
- Free Viewing: You have the right to view your land records online for free on state portals (e.g., Bhulekh, Dharani).
- No Forcible Sale: Your agricultural land cannot be easily attached or sold for recovery of small debts.

Crop Insurance (PMFBY)

- Post-Harvest Loss: You are covered for damage even after harvesting if the crop is kept in the field for drying (up to 14 days).
- Low Premium: Farmers only pay a maximum of 2% premium for Kharif and 1.5% for Rabi crops.
- Direct Claim: The insurance amount is credited directly to the farmer's bank account linked with Aadhaar.

- Right to Save Seeds: Farmers have the right to save, use, exchange, or sell their farm-saved seeds.
- Benefit Sharing: If a company uses a traditional seed variety to make a new one, the farmer community is entitled to a share of the profits.
- Innocent Infringement: A farmer cannot be sued for unknowingly using a 'protected' seed variety.
