Death caused by an act done with intent to cause miscarriage

  • Bailable Status: Non-bailable (Bail can only be granted by the Judiciary)
  • Cognizable Status: Cognizable (Police can arrest without warrant)
  • Triable Court: Court of Session
  • Official Punishment: Imprisonment for 10 years and fine

If act done without women's consent.

  • Bailable Status: Non-bailable (Bail can only be granted by the Judiciary)
  • Cognizable Status: Cognizable (Police can arrest without warrant)
  • Triable Court: Court of Session
  • Official Punishment: Imprisonment for life, or as above
