    The new model for short-term service in the Indian Armed Forces.

    Fact: Agniveers are entitled to honors and awards as per existing guidelines for the Armed Forces.

    • Service Duration: 4 years of active service followed by a chance for 25% to join the permanent cadre.
    • Seva Nidhi: A one-time package of approx Rs 11.7 Lakh (tax-free) at the end of 4 years.
    • Insurance: Non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48 Lakh during the service period.
